The Centenary Extraordinary Drive

There will only be a once in a life time chance to experience the Bentley centenary milestone. To celebrate the glittering history, the Bentley Driving Club organised a breath taking grand tour. This involved a head turning convoy of classic and modern Bentleys sweeping through the scenic winding UK roads. The journey included many impressive and carefully-chosen destinations for the Bentley Drivers Club members to experience along the way.
The lead car being the Bentley Bentayga, which is used by the Royal Family, kick started the extraordinary drive from HM the Queen Mother’s castle of Mey on the north coast of Scotland. From here the 19 couples were able to experience off-roading in the Bentayga – dinner on HMY Britannia along the way the members were given the chance to play a spot of Golf.
Along the way the numbers raised to 50 couples whom were able to piolet their Bentleys from the National Railway Museum in York, down to the Cotswolds and finally down to London for a black tie dinner for the final night of celebrations in the Tower of London.

RAF Cosford

Bentley Birmingham and customers was honoured to partake in magnificent voyage by joining the club members at one of their pit stops that was RAF Cosford. During this time we were able to go on a tour of the museum that was home to over 70 historic aircraft displayed in wartime hangars.

Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb

Shortly after the Bentley Convoy set off for their next destination that was Shelsley Walsh, to experience the historical Hill Climb. A splendid and carefully planned route of the UK country side meander was chose to which the blazing sunshine amplified the whole experience.
On arrival to Shelsley Walsh we were spoilt with the wonderful views of the luscious countryside fields’ backdrops. After a spot of lunch, the team was split into two groups ready for the Hill Climb.
One half of the team remained back to hear all about the history of Shelsley Walsh and its motorsport history. Whilst the second team were able to experience the drive up the winding steep hill and climb in their Bentleys to reach the peaking point.
The end of the day saw the Bentley Birmingham team and customers part way with the Bentley Drivers Club members as they set off onto the next stage of their extraordinary drive.
